Dr. Marcelo Urquia is an Associate Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, and holds a Canada Research Chair in Applied Population Health. He specializes in epidemiology, focusing on gender, immigration, and health equity with a life-course perspective. His work leverages large population-based databases to study maternal and child health, migration health, and family dynamics. Cross-appointments include the Department of Economics (Faculty of Arts) and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.
