Amani Hamad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Population Data Science and Data Curation (Tier II) and is a research scientist at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy. Her work focuses on transforming administrative data into research-ready formats to study medication effects, maternal and child health, and mental health.

**Research Interests:**
Dr. Hamad specializes in data science, pharmacoepidemiology, and observational studies. Her current projects address the intergenerational transfer of mental illnesses, medication impacts on children’s mental health, and improving data curation for population health research. She uses machine learning to analyze multi-generational health data internationally.
