Marcelo Padilla

Univ.-Prof. Marcelo Padilla is a Professor of Bassoon at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna since 2011. His career includes principal roles in the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (since 2002), serving as deputy principal bassoonist since 2005. He has collaborated with prestigious orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic and conducted under maestros Claudio Abbado and Sir Simon Rattle. Beyond orchestral work, he performs with groups such as Ensemble Kontrapunkte and his bassoon quartet Fagotes Locos. His teaching spans the Oberschützen Institute (Graz) and masterclasses in Mexico.
