Manu Samnotra is an Associate Professor at the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, University of South Florida. His research focuses on political theory, ethics, and the role of emotions in public life. He explores themes such as dignity, civic responsibility, and the ethics of political action, drawing on thinkers like Hannah Arendt and Mahatma Gandhi.
Samnotra’s work includes the book Worldly Shame: Ethos in Action, analyzing shame’s role in fostering collective responsibility. His current book project examines Gandhian traditions of dignity, care, and sacrifice. His scholarship appears in journals like Constellations and Theory & Event.
His research engages interdisciplinary questions, blending political philosophy with moral inquiry, and addresses modern challenges in technology, democracy, and ethical citizenship.
