Lyle Scruggs

Lyle Scruggs is a Professor at the University of Connecticut, serving as co-Director of the Comparative Entitlements Dataset Project (CWED) and the UConn Political Economy Workshop. He is an affiliate of the Center for Environmental Science and Engineering and a member of the Human Rights Institute’s Economic and Social Rights Group.

His educational background includes:

Professor Scruggs specializes in comparative political economy, welfare policy, environmental politics, and quantitative methods. His research examines global social welfare generosity impacts on inequality/health outcomes and cross-national climate change attitudes among elites and the public. Current projects involve international teams analyzing welfare datasets and climate opinion trends.

His work has received recognition through:
