Lucy Stainsby is a Lecturer and Assistant Programme Leader at the University of Sunderland, specializing in teacher education. She holds a BA (Hons), PGCE, MEd, and is a Fellow of Advanced HE. Her roles include Module Leader for PGCE students, Personal Academic Tutor for PGCE Education (Distance Learning), and subject specialist for the IITT PGCE, iQTS, and Assessment Only Route to QTS courses. With over a decade of international teaching experience in the UK, Kuwait, and Kazakhstan—as a teacher, Head of Department, and Director of Studies—she focuses on enhancing teacher practice and professional development. She currently supports educators globally through Sunderland’s distance learning programs and contributes to curriculum development in teacher training.
