Lucy McGeagh is a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University's Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery. She is a Chartered Health Psychologist and member of the Supportive Care Research Group and Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR). Her career spans academic roles at the University of Nottingham, University of Bristol, and GenesisCare UK. She specializes in behaviour change, survivorship, and supportive care across prostate and breast cancer populations.

Her research focuses on qualitative and quantitative studies in cancer populations, particularly breast and prostate cancers. She has designed multiple RCTs on diet, physical activity, and pharmacological interventions, alongside exploring psychological impacts of treatment, patient decision-making, and survivorship needs. Recent work includes the SWEET project funded by the NIHR.
Lucy has led or co-authored 15 recent publications (2023-2025) on topics including alcohol consumption post-diagnosis, adherence to endocrine therapy, shared decision-making in home care, and lifestyle interventions. These emphasize mixed methods, systematic reviews, and patient-centered approaches.
