Lotta Maunsbach is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, Lund University. She also serves as Research Coordinator at Dispute Resolution and a Researcher at the Lund University Centre for Business Law (ACLU). Her expertise spans civil procedural law, arbitration agreements, and intersections of procedural and civil law, grounded in European human rights standards. She actively participates in legal networks such as the South Swedish Arbitration Association and Nordic procedural law groups.
Holding a PhD in civil procedural law (2015), her doctoral work explored litigation agreements under Article 6(1) ECHR. She teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in civil and procedural law. Her outreach includes collaborations with law firms and public institutions, emphasizing practical legal application.
Her research focuses on civil procedure, alternative dispute resolution systems, and legal ethics. Recent publications address attorney conduct, legal aid, and procedural reforms. She has contributed to 35 research outputs and led projects like 'Skiljedom under attack' and 'RobotLab LTH'. Awards include the 2018 Emil Heijnes Prize in Legal Sciences.
Lotta Maunsbach’s professional networks include roles in the Swedish Women Arbitration Network (SWAN) and advisory positions in legal foundations. She co-founded the Lund University Centre for Business Law and advocates for interdisciplinary legal research.
