Dr. Lori Whynot serves as the Director of the American Sign Language & Interpreting Education Program at Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH), and co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of the Center for Atypical Language Interpreting Education (CALI). With a 30-year professional interpreting career and a PhD in Linguistics from Macquarie University (2015), her expertise spans cognitive and sociolinguistic dimensions of interpreting, multilingual sign language contact, and healthcare interpreting. She has held faculty roles at Gallaudet University and conducted research at Radboud University, contributing to national certification frameworks for Deaf interpreters in Australia.
