Lisa Phillips Diehl is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of North Georgia, affiliated with the College of Arts & Letters. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (ABD, Creighton University, 2018), an MAT in Secondary English (Piedmont College, 2009), and a B.A. in English/Writing (University of Tampa, 2009).
Her research focuses on Embedded Tutoring, Social Justice, First-Year Composition, and Modern Poetry. She supervises the Embedded Tutoring Program at UNG, placing writing center tutors in composition classrooms. Her conference presentations include work on social justice-themed courses and embedded tutoring implementation.

As an internationally published poet with over ten publications, her work appears in Nano Nostrovia! Poetry, Leaves of Ink Journal, and Counterexample Poetics. She maintains a personal life in Cleveland, Georgia with her husband, five parrots, six chickens, a pot-bellied pig, and a dog.
