
Christopher Barnes

Christopher Barnes is an Associate Professor of English and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Academic Administration at the University of North Georgia's Oconee campus. He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University at Buffalo (2002), an M.A. from the University of Georgia (1987), and a B.A. from Shorter College (1985). His teaching focuses on Romantic and Victorian Literature and first-year composition. His research interests include 19th-century British literature, Charles Dickens, the history of the novel, composition theory, and pedagogical practices.
