Lisa Jelle

Lisa Jelle is a Professor of Flute at Capital University's Conservatory of Music, where she teaches Applied Flute, Flute Literature, Woodwind Methods, Music Pedagogy, and ensemble coaching for Flute Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, and Flute Choir. Her work bridges classical and jazz traditions through performance, composition, and pedagogy.

Her research and creative activity focuses on flute performance, jazz-inspired compositions, and chamber music collaborations. She has released multiple CDs including Waltz into Madness (2012), Mark Flugge Remembered (2015), A Chamber Jazz Christmas (2016), and Bolling & Beyond (2019), featuring commissions and collaborative projects with ensembles like PANdemonium4 Flute Quartet and QuintEssential Winds.

Lisa led a consortium commissioning Silver Fantasy for Solo Flute and Symphonic Winds (2012-2013) and has performed at National Flute Association conventions in Orlando (2018), Minneapolis (2017), and Washington, D.C. (2015). She has conducted international performance and teaching tours in Germany, Hungary, and England.
