Todd Groves

Todd Groves is an Adjunct Professor of Saxophone and Jazz at the University of Delaware's School of Music within the College of Arts & Sciences. He performs extensively across Broadway, orchestras, and chamber ensembles, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, and New York Philharmonic. Groves is a Grammy Award winner (2019) for his contribution to the MET Opera’s recording of Porgy and Bess. He teaches saxophone and jazz, composes chamber music, and leads clinics across universities and high schools. Groves has performed in renowned Broadway productions like Aladdin and Motown the Musical, and his compositions have premiered internationally at saxophone congresses.

Education: Graduate of the University of the Arts. Teaching roles include adjunct positions at UD and private instruction via his own studio. Compositions focus on woodwind chamber works and jazz ensembles, with recordings available through his site. Active in commercial music scenes, including the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and NFL Films projects.
