Dr. Gregory Moore is a Professor in the Music Department at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and has served as Jazz Program Director since 1997. He is actively engaged in performance, composition, and education across jazz, classical, and rock genres.

Moore's research and creative work spans jazz, classical, and rock idioms, with compositions for diverse ensembles including orchestras, woodwind groups, and percussion ensembles. He emphasizes accessibility in music education, recently premiering four new works tailored for younger musicians.
His compositions have been performed at the 2003 World Saxophone Congress, and his solo work is featured on recordings by the University of Texas Jazz Orchestra and Big Time Jazz Orchestra. Moore is also the founding director of rock tribute bands Duluth Transit Authority (Chicago) and Show Biz Kids (Steely Dan), and leads the campus athletic band Full Metal Jackets. His jazz compositions are published by Increase Music, Inc.
