Lisa Amick is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky's College of Education. She holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, an M.A. in Mathematics Education, an M.S. in Educational Administration, and a B.A. in Elementary Education.
Roles:
- Teaches mathematics methods courses across elementary, middle, and secondary levels
- Chairs the undergraduate STEM PLUS (mathematics) program
- Director of STRIDES initiative for teacher retention and induction
- National Board Certified Teacher (2010)
- Board member for Kentucky NBPTS Network
Research Focus: Teacher retention, STEM pedagogy, professional development models, and inquiry-based mathematics interventions. Maintains partnerships with CPM Educational Program for curriculum development.
