Lindsey French is an assistant professor of art and an interdisciplinary researcher based in Regina, Saskatchewan. She holds affiliations with the University of Regina and previously held positions at institutions including the University of Pittsburgh and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

- BA in Environment, Interaction, and Design from Hampshire College
- MFA in Art and Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Her research bridges plant communication, olfactory systems, and non-visual sensory media, creating works that challenge anthropocentrism through installations like Phytovision, which uses plant-perceptible light spectra, and signal to nose, a scent-and-radio broadcast project. She has also explored ecological solar practices and collaborative sensing methodologies in urban environments.
Notable scientific outputs include peer-reviewed chapters on olfactory art, plant-based literature, and environmental media. Her collaborative Nonnonsense Radio project (2019) and the Knowledge Lab course (2016–2017) exemplify her focus on community engagement and non-human agency.
