Linda Wang

Linda Wang, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, General Internal Medicine and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a general internist and addiction medicine specialist who cares for patients who use drugs at the REACH Program at Mount Sinai, where she also directs the buprenorphine treatment program and maintains a general primary care panel.

Dr. Wang received her undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency in the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

Her research interests focus on addiction medicine, Hepatitis C Virus, expanding access to substance use disorder treatment, providing stigma-free care for people who use drugs, and training current and future clinicians in drug user health. As the Medical Director for the Hepatitis C and Drug User Health Center of Excellence at the Institute for Advanced Medicine at Mount Sinai, she plays a key role in advancing care for vulnerable populations.

Dr. Wang is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Her clinical focus includes Annual Physicals, Diabetes management, General Consultations, Hepatitis C treatment, High Cholesterol management, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) treatment, Primary Care, Sore Throat treatment, and Type 2 Diabetes care.

She is actively involved in clinical education and is part of the New York State Clinical Education Initiative, demonstrating her commitment to both patient care and the development of future healthcare professionals.
