معرفی
Dr. Lin-Xi Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine. His research focuses on understanding adaptive immune responses to Chlamydia, particularly CD4 T cell memory and B cell effector functions in the female reproductive tract (FRT). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Davis.
Research Interests
Dr. Li’s lab investigates how CD4 T cell memory develops and persists in FRT Chlamydia infections using novel MHC Class II tetramers to track antigen-specific T cells. They also explore B cell roles in containing Chlamydia, revealing unexpected disseminated infections in B cell-deficient mice. Key methods include flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and gene ablation models.
Publications Overview
His work spans 2013–2017, with studies on CCR7 signaling in Chlamydia clearance, CD11c-expressing T cell subsets, and innate immune pathways in T cell bactericidal activity. Research emphasizes translational insights for Chlamydia vaccine design.
Advising & Labs
Dr. Li currently accepts graduate students. His lab employs cutting-edge tools to dissect immune mechanisms in genital tract infections, aiming to address the global health burden of Chlamydia.
