Liliane Pelletier is a University Professor in Education and Training Sciences at Université Lumière Lyon 2, affiliated with the Education, Cultures, Politiques (ECP) research laboratory. She is also a member of the International Laboratory on School Inclusion (LISIS) and an associate researcher at the Icare Laboratory. Her work focuses on inclusive education, disability studies, and participatory research methodologies, particularly the 'AVEC' approach emphasizing collaborative research with communities.
Her research explores four key axes: collaborative professional practices, accessible teaching methods, school-family relationships across transitions, and disability and social participation. She leads major projects like the 'Université inclusive' initiative and the 'RCEI' international research network analyzing inclusive dynamics from early childhood to professional integration.
Pelletier has coordinated over a dozen research projects, co-authored multiple books and journal articles, and serves on international scientific committees. She actively engages in teacher training, directing master’s programs such as the Handicap Reference Master and contributing to the MIFEF program. Her work bridges academia and practice through innovative interventions like the 'Classe passerelle' initiative in Réunion Island.
Her advising includes guiding doctoral students in areas like inclusive education, parental roles, and educational transitions. Pelletier’s contributions extend beyond academia through public lectures, policy advising, and international collaborations, positioning her as a leading voice in global inclusive education discourse.
