Lil Mohan serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with additional adjunct appointments at London Business School, the Indian School of Business (ISB), and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His career bridges academia and technology entrepreneurship, featuring executive roles at Amazon, Intel, Motorola, Sun Microsystems, and co-founding two startups: Junglee Corp. (acquired by Amazon) and Snapstick Inc.
His educational credentials include:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering (specializing in AI) from Purdue University
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad
- BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Mohan's research integrates Marketing with Technology Management, focusing on E-Commerce, Mobile Commerce, Artificial Intelligence applications, FinTech, and Digital Media. He leverages firsthand experience developing products across E/M-Commerce, Retail, Mobile Services, and Digital Entertainment sectors. His teaching portfolio encompasses Digital Marketing, Product Management & New Product Development, AI/ML/NLP systems, and Mobile Commerce for MBA and Executive MBA cohorts.
As an active consultant, he advises technology firms on product design, management, and marketing strategy. His industry leadership includes building Amazon's mobile platform unit (launching the world's first retail M-Commerce app Amazon Anywhere), heading product management at Junglee, and executive roles at Snapstick, Intel, Motorola, and J.P. Morgan Partners Advisors.
