Dr. Libby Saxton is a Reader in Film at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film and the Film Studies Department. She holds a BA, MPhil, and PhD in relevant fields. Her research focuses on intersections between film, photography, ethics, and political violence, particularly the Holocaust and colonial systems. She co-leads the Centre for Film and Ethics, fostering collaborations with academic and non-academic partners. Her work bridges Francophone cinema and Anglophone scholarship, emphasizing visual ethics and iconic imagery.
