Dr. Li Li is a Reader in Management at Bath Business School, Bath Spa University, where she has been since 2016. Her academic journey includes previous roles at the University of Derby, University of Surrey, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With a PhD and MSc in Management from the University of Surrey, she specializes in management learning, managerial practice, and tourism and hospitality management, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Her research bridges critical realism with tourism ethics, focusing on moral agency, technology-mediated learning, and social structural influences on tourism. She explores how digital platforms reshape tourist behavior and ethical decision-making in hospitality. Recent work examines virtual teaching's impact on business students and the role of social media in Chinese tourism socialization.
Dr. Li serves on the editorial boards of multiple journals, including the Journal of Critical Realism and International Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Management. She is a Council Member of the International Association of Critical Realism (2025–2027) and contributes to academic governance as a Research Ethics Lead at Bath Business School. Her collaborations span institutions like University of Bournemouth and University of Hull, where she acts as an external examiner.
