Levi Johnson serves as Director of the Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE) and STEM CORE Fellow at Texas Tech University, dedicated to expanding access to high-impact educational opportunities for undergraduate students through evidence-based programming.
His academic credentials include:
- Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas Tech University
- Master of Science in Mathematics from Texas Tech University
- Ph.D. candidate in Educational Leadership Policy, College of Education at Texas Tech University
Johnson's research focuses on transformative undergraduate experiences at the PK-12/higher education interface, emphasizing STEM outreach and equity. His professional work drives initiatives like the Estacado Early College High School and East Lubbock Promise Neighborhood Grant to create pathways for underrepresented students. As an alumnus, he leverages firsthand experience from Texas Tech's Honors College, writing-intensive courses, and undergraduate research to inform current programming.
Prior to his directorship, Johnson contributed to campus life as a trombonist in the Goin' Band from Raiderland and IT Help Central assistant, maintaining deep institutional engagement while advancing educational access through community partnerships.
