Lesley Ellies

Lesley Ellies is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Western Australia's School of Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on cancer biology, immunotherapy, and macrophage roles in tumor progression. She has contributed to studies on cancer stem cells, therapeutic kinase inhibition, and 3D co-culture models for tumor invasion analysis.

Her grants include projects funded by the Cancer Council NSW: 'Reprogramming pro-tumoural macrophages to treat solid cancers' (2020–2022) and 'Targeting macrophage migration to prevent breast cancer metastasis' (2017–2017). Her work has been featured in Oncogenesis and Science Advances, with notable impact on cancer immunology and therapeutic strategies.
