He serves as Director of Graduate Studies for the BCI and leads a research group focused on protein kinases as therapeutic targets in cancer.
- Current funding includes MRC Project Grant (£774k, 2023-2026), Willoughby Trust Clinical Studentship (£250k, 2022-2025), Barts Charity Project Grant (£179k, 2022-2026), and Queen Mary Innovation Impact Fund (£100k, 2021-present).
His research investigates kinase regulation of cancer cell growth and motility, with key publications in Cell Reports, eLife, and Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. Recent work includes studies on pancreatic stellate cells, HER2-HER3 signaling, and Rho effector kinases. Articles demonstrate expertise in cancer signaling pathways, kinase inhibition, and tumor microenvironment dynamics.
Cameron actively contributes to editorial work as Associate Editor of The Journal of Pathology and member of the Biochemical Journal Editorial Panel. He also advises the European Pharma Summit-Design & Screening conference (2017). His themes include Targeting Tumour Cells, Metastasis, and Tumour Microenvironment.
