Leah Morris

Leah Morris is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the School of Health and Social Wellbeing, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where she teaches research methods on the undergraduate Physiotherapy programme.

Her research expertise spans Realist Evaluation, Healthcare Robotics (focusing on developing/testing assistive devices for neurological populations), Neurological Rehabilitation, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Qualitative Research, Co-design Methods, and Biomechanics. She applies these methodologies to advance child health interventions and neurological rehabilitation practices.

Scientific Awards:

• Vice Chanceller Early Career Researcher Award (for scoping review and qualitative study on physiotherapy for paediatrics with Functional Movement Disorder)

Dr. Morris actively supports colleagues in realist evaluation projects and grant applications while delivering specialized training. She collaborates with interdisciplinary research groups in health & wellbeing, childhealth, Healthcare Robotics, and Neurological Rehabilitation to develop future-oriented assistive technologies and clinical protocols.
