Praveen Kumar is an Associate Professor in Stroke Rehabilitation at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. He holds a PhD and MSc in Physiotherapy, with additional qualifications in Higher Education and BSc Physiotherapy from Mangalore University, India.

He leads the Ethnic Health Inequality Research Group (EHIRG) and works on UKRI-funded projects like FitBees and BNSSG Research Fund initiatives.
Recent publications analyze Lycra sleeves' biomechanical effects, telerehabilitation applications, and systematic reviews of shoulder subluxation and pain. His work emphasizes translational research through collaborations with robotics laboratories and clinical teams.
