Laurieann Casey Klockow is a Clinical Professor and Associate Chair for Instruction in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University. She holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis (1999) and a Ph.D. in biomolecular chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2007). Her postdoctoral research at Albany Medical College focused on HIV viral protein Vpr and its interactions with microRNA pathways.

Her research interests center on effective teaching methodologies, critical thinking development, and applying classroom knowledge to real-world contexts. She teaches courses such as Human Microbiology, Outbreaks/Epidemics/Pandemics, and Clinical Microbiology to undergraduates and health professional students. She also serves as an academic advisor for pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-PA programs.
Dr. Klockow is involved in multiple initiatives including the Disciplinary Honors Program, Pre-Dental Post-Baccalaureate Program (BMPD), Undergraduate Summer Research Program (SRP), Biomedical Sciences Student Association (BMSA), and the Integrative Neuroscience Research Center (INRC).
