Dr. Laurie Gaydos is a Teaching Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. She also serves as Deputy Director for the Executive MPH Program. Her expertise spans public health education innovation, mixed-methods research in women’s, maternal/child health, and reproductive health. Dr. Gaydos holds a PhD in Health Policy & Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Public Policy from Brown University.
Research & Teaching: Focuses on distance/hybrid learning methods and maternal/child health policy. She has published over 45 peer-reviewed works and actively reviews for women’s health journals.
Awards: Recognized with the Noah Krieger Prize, Delta Omega Award, McMahon Investigator’s Award, and STAR award for translating research into public health action.
Service: Leads community advisory roles with the Anti-Defamation League, Atlanta Women’s Foundation, and the Religion and Public Health Collaborative. Serves on committees for Emory and Rollins School of Public Health.
