Laurie Beyranevand

Laurie J. Beyranevand is Director of the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems and Professor of Law at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Her work focuses on the connections between human health, agricultural systems, and food policy. She holds a J.D. from Vermont Law School (2003) and B.A. from Rutgers College (1999).

Beyranevand's scholarship examines legal frameworks impacting food production, distribution, and consumption. She serves on editorial boards including the Food and Drug Law Journal and is a founding member of the Academy of Food Law and Policy. Her research has been cited in regulatory petitions and featured in major media outlets including the New York Times and Washington Post.
