Laurence Butler is a Clinical Tutor/Practice Educator and Lecturer in Neurology at the UCO School of Osteopathy, Health Sciences University (London campus). He holds advanced qualifications including MSc/D(Ost Care), DO(Hons), and dual BA(Hons) degrees in Biology and Psychology. His roles include supervising clinical interactions at the UCO Clinic, delivering academic teaching in neurology and patient assessment, and serving as an expert witness in regulatory and criminal cases.
Education: Bachelor’s from Keele University, followed by osteopathic training at the British School of Osteopathy (now part of Health Sciences University). He completed postgraduate study at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London.
Research interests focus on the interplay between psychological factors and physical conditions, functional vs structural approaches in osteopathic practice, and improving clinical reasoning education. He has contributed to professional journals via 'clinical conundrum' articles and co-developed a clinical analysis protocol with Barry Jacobs.
Awarded for academic excellence, Laurence maintains active osteopathic practice as principal, associate, and locum across multiple clinics. His expertise spans international teaching, regulatory case consultation, and high-court-level expert testimony.
