Chris Thomas is a Senior Teaching Fellow and Unit Leader for Patient Care at the Health Sciences University, part of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He specializes in osteopathic technique and leads the Blanchard Clinic, focusing on care for individuals living with HIV. He has been affiliated with the university since 2001, becoming full-time in 2003. Thomas holds a MA in Medical Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His clinical expertise spans osteopathic practice, having worked at the Royal Free Hospital and private practice in Upminster. He also contributed to the Access to HE Diploma program and previously led the Ethics and Practice of Osteopathy Unit until 2021.

His research interests include osteopathic techniques and their application in HIV patient care, alongside sports injuries. Thomas splits his time between academic leadership, clinical supervision, and private practice. He also serves as Beadle to the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers.
