Martin Pendry is the Unit Leader for Professionalism and Lecturer in Professionalism at the UCO School of Osteopathy, Health Sciences University. He holds a MSc(Hons) in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy and a BSc(Hons) in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy, alongside a PGCert in Academic and Clinical Education from the University College of Osteopathy.
His professional interests include patient-centered care, healthcare ethics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership in healthcare governance. He has 21 years of NHS clinical and managerial experience, including roles in strategy, finance, and governance. Martin also mentors students in the Research and Enquiry Unit, focusing on academic inquiry and dissertation guidance.
Martin is a registered member of the General Osteopathic Council, the Institute of Osteopathy, and the National Back Exchange. His leadership extends to board roles in the merger of AECC and UCO, and he contributes to healthcare policy through NCOR board membership.
He oversees clinical practice education, emphasizing professionalism, safety, and ethical standards in osteopathic training programs aligned with General Osteopathic Council guidelines.
