معرفی
Lars Bergström is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Stockholm University, specializing in astroparticle physics and cosmology. His work bridges elementary particle physics, astronomy, and astrophysics to explore dark matter and cosmic evolution.
- Research Focus: Dark matter (WIMPs, axions), cosmic microwave background, gamma-ray/neutrino phenomenology, Kaluza-Klein models, and transplanckian physics.
- Collaborations: Fermi-LAT Gamma-ray Telescope, IceCube neutrino experiment, and PAMELA antimatter searches.
Scientific Leadership: Served as Scientific Secretary of the Nobel Committee for Physics (2004–2015) and member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences since 2001.
Current Graduate Students: Sebastian Baum, Jessica Elevant, Carl Niblaeus, Sunny Vagnozzi, and Axel Widmar. Former students include Torsten Bringmann (lecturer at Oslo University), Pat Scott (Ernest Rutherford Fellow), and Edvard Mörtsell (lecturer in observational cosmology).
Technological Contributions: Co-developer of the DarkSUSY software for dark matter studies. Organized a Nordita Workshop (2016) on axion research.
