Lana Amro is a PhD Candidate and Research Fellow in the PROFF - Professional Teacher Education Doctoral Program at the University of Inland Norway. She holds a Master's degree in Adapted Education and has extensive experience as a bilingual subject teacher, mother tongue teacher for Arabic-speaking students, and college lecturer focusing on linguistic and cultural diversity. Her academic affiliation is within the Department of Pedagogy at the Teacher Education Department under the Faculty of Teacher Education and Pedagogy.
Her research focuses on Arabic-speaking students' identity development through digital Arabic language education. Key interests include professional practices in multilingual schools, minority language education, and inclusion of cultural diversity in education. She is affiliated with the Diversity in Education (DivE) research group and participates in the Dekom project on second language pedagogy.
Lana's work explores translanguaging practices and transnational digital education, as evidenced by her 2025 publication in the European Educational Research Journal. Her research contributes to understanding how digital tools facilitate heritage language learning and cultural identity formation for minority students.
