Lachlan Brown

Lachlan Brown is a Senior Lecturer in English at the School of Social Work and Arts, Charles Sturt University. Based in Wagga Wagga since 2011, he completed his PhD at the University of Sydney and explores intersections between literature, philosophy, theology, and digital media in his work.

• Research: Focuses on Australian poetry, transnational fiction, and creative practice, with projects blending poetry with photography and gaming narratives.
• Publications: Includes Lunar Inheritance (Giramondo, 2021) on Chinese-Australian heritage and Limited Cities (Giramondo, 2013), shortlisted for the Dame Mary Gilmore Award.
• Awards: Recipient of the 2021 Newcastle Poetry Prize, 2022 Booranga Poetry Prize, and 2013 Emerging Writers' Grant.
• Engagement: Regular participant in literary festivals (Sydney Writers', Write Around the Murray) and international residencies (2014 Visiting Scholar at Texas Christian University).
