Dr Craig Billingham is a researcher and creative writer affiliated with the University of New South Wales in the School of Arts, Design & Architecture. His work spans fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, with publications including two poetry collections (Storytelling, 2007; Public Transport, 2017), a children's book (The Empty Jar, 2014), and contributions to literary journals like Southerly, Meanjin, and Australian Book Review.
- Education: BA (Hons) from Macquarie University, MA in English, and Doctor of Arts from the University of Sydney
His research supervision focuses on mentoring poets and prose writers in short stories, novels, memoirs, and hybrid genres. Craig has taught courses such as Creative Writing, Narrative: The Art and Science of Storytelling, and Fiction Writing at UNSW, the University of Sydney, and Western Sydney University. He has also served as a manuscript assessor and mentor at Varuna, The Writers' House, and participated in major literary festivals including Sydney Writers' Festival and Melbourne Writers' Festival.
Craig is a member of the Australasian Association of Writing Programs and has received recognition through grants and residencies from the Australia Council for the Arts, Gunyah, and Booranga Writers' Centre.
