Rev. Dr. Laceye Warner is a Professor of the Practice of Church Ministry and Methodist Studies at Duke Divinity School, serving as Associate Dean for Wesleyan Engagement since 2001. She previously held roles as Academic Dean (2006–2012) and Executive Vice Dean (2012–2015). An ordained United Methodist Church minister, she has held leadership roles including delegate to General and Jurisdictional Conferences and member of multiple denominational task forces.

Research & Teaching: Her work focuses on Methodist Studies, church governance, women’s leadership, and missional practices. Key themes include contemporary church practices within Christian tradition and sustainable mission strategies. She teaches courses such as United Methodism: Mission, Practice, Belief and Missionio Ecclesiae: God’s Mission of Evangelism.
Publications: Her books include Saving Women (2007), Method of Our Mission (2014), and From Relief to Empowerment (2018). Her recent work includes contributions to the Wesley Study Bible and Advent Study All the Good (2021), which reached the ECP bestseller list.

Community Involvement: She lives on a North Carolina flower farm, practicing sustainable agriculture and glass-blowing as creative outlets. Active in Methodist Church governance, she advocates for ethical leadership and denominational unity.
