Dr. Kristy Timmons is an Associate Professor and Graduate Faculty Member in Early Childhood Education at Queen’s University’s Faculty of Education. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology and Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/University of Toronto) and an MA in Child Study and Education from the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study. Her research focuses on processes influencing young children’s learning, engagement, and self-regulation, with emphases on equitable policies, educator expectations, and play-based learning.
