Krista Hill Cummings is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Babson College, known for her interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research. She joined Babson in 2016 and holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in Psychology from Northeastern University. Her research focuses on consumer-provider communication, particularly the effectiveness of apologies and service recovery strategies. She emphasizes addressing consumers' emotional states through active listening to enhance service recovery outcomes.
In teaching, she bridges marketing with disciplines like healthcare, psychology, poetry, and theatre. Notable collaborations include projects with the Museum of Fine Arts and Broadway’s West Side Story, integrating experiential learning and interdisciplinary insights. Students praise her innovative methods and dedication to fostering interdisciplinary understanding.
Her awards include the 2020 Poets&Quants Best Undergraduate Business School Professor recognition.
