Koenraad Lenaerts

Koenraad Lenaerts is a Professor of European Law at the University of Leuven (since 1983, with the rank of 'buitengewoon hoogleraar' from 1990) and President of the Court of Justice of the European Union (since 2015). He has held numerous judicial and academic roles, including Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Communities (2003-present), Director of the Institute of European Law, and Visiting Professor at Harvard University and the European University Institute. His work intersects legal scholarship, judicial practice, and European policy development.
