Julia Laffranque is a prominent legal scholar and practitioner, serving as a Professor at the University of Tartu’s Faculty of Law and School of Law, specializing in Public Law and European Union Law. She concurrently holds roles as Director of Programme at the European Law Academy (ERA) and Judge at the Estonian Supreme Court. Her career includes significant contributions to European human rights law, notably through her tenure as a Judge at the European Court of Human Rights (2011–2020).
