Dr Knut Laaser is a Senior Lecturer in Employment Relations at King's Business School and Research Theme Lead for Sustainable Leadership at the Centre for Sustainable Business, King's College London. His research focuses on the politics of meaningful work, moral economy frameworks, labor process analysis, and bank work transformation.
Education & Experience:
- Senior Researcher/Interim Professor at Brandenburg University of Technology (previous role)
- Senior Lecturer at University of Stirling (previous role)
- Summer School Visiting Professor at Aarhus Business School (2019-2023)
Research Contributions: Co-authored a Cambridge University Press book (2023) and publishes in top journals like Work, Employment and Society and International Journal of Management Reviews. His 2023 article on meaningful work won the WES Sage Innovation Prize.
Editorial Roles: Editor of Work, Employment and Society (2022-present), Guest Editor for Economic and Industrial Democracy (2025 Special Issue) and International Journal of Human Resource Management (2026).
He has delivered keynotes at ADAPT 2023 and WES Online Conference 2024, and given guest lectures in India/China. Currently supervising PhD students in employment relations topics.
