Ian Hill is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations at the King’s Business School, King's College London. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Certified Management and Business Educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. His roles include leading modules such as Work in Contemporary Society (level 4), The Future of Work (level 6), and the online Employment Relations (level 7). He also contributes to Executive Education programs like the ETF Senior Leadership Programme, Operational Delivery (UK Civil Service), and Help to Grow.
Research Interests: Ian’s research focuses on contradictions in Agile Software Development management, diversity and inclusion in business and HRM, socio-economic barriers in UK Civil Service career progression, and experiential learning through gamification. His recent PhD (2025, Loughborough London) explored Agile Software Development tensions, and he co-edited a textbook on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with Professor Sally Everett, published by Sage in April 2025.

Advising & Grants: Ian actively supervises students and has contributed to Executive Education programs funded by institutions like the Education and Training Foundation and the UK Civil Service. His work bridges academic research with practical applications in public and private sectors.
