Klaske Havik is an architect and writer currently serving as an Associate Professor of Methods & Analysis at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft, Netherlands. Her research explores the experience, use, and imagination of architecture and the city, with a focus on interdisciplinary methodologies. She is an editor of OASE, Journal for Architecture and has co-edited the anthology Architectural Positions: Architecture, Modernity and the Public Sphere (2009), contributing to critical discourse in architectural theory.
Her work bridges practice and academia, notably through the regeneration of the NDSM shipwharf in Amsterdam into a cultural hub. She also engages with literary forms, publishing poetry and stories in collections like Vanuit de Lucht (From the Sky) (2011) and DWB (2012), emphasizing the narrative dimensions of architectural spaces.
At the ACHS 2016 conference, she participated in a session titled The Role of the Architect as a Facilitator of the 'Commons': Transformation of the NDSM Shipwharf, Amsterdam, highlighting her commitment to urban public space discourse.
