Wiel Arets is a renowned architect and educator, holding the title of Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology's College of Architecture. He served as Dean from 2012–2017, reorganizing curricula around the 'horizontal studio' model. His academic roles include Professorships at Delft University of Technology (2001–2009) and Berlin University of the Arts (2004–2012).
