Kirk Glaser is Teaching Professor and Director of Creative Writing in the Department of English at Santa Clara University. He holds a Ph.D. in American Literature and M.A. in Creative Writing from UC Berkeley, and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Glaser's creative work spans poetry and fiction, exploring themes of memory, environment, and human experience. His teaching integrates meditation and writing exercises to help students discover authentic creative expression while developing editorial skills. Publications appear in The Threepenny Review, Nimrod, Chicago Quarterly Review, and other literary journals.
As Faculty Advisor to the Santa Clara Review, Glaser mentors students in literary editing and publishing. His forthcoming poetry collection The House That Fire Built (MadHat Press, 2025) reflects his interdisciplinary approach to creative expression.
