Kikkeri N. Naresh

Dr. Kikkeri N. Naresh serves as Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Professor/Section Head of Pathology at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch). He holds additional roles as Member of the Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center (IIRC) and Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center (TDS IRC) at Fred Hutch, Affiliate Investigator in the Clinical Research Division, Pathologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London.

Dr. Naresh specializes in hematopathology with focus on lymphoma and bone marrow pathology. His research spans lymphoma biology (genomics, pathogenesis, microenvironment), diagnostic algorithm development for precision medicine, oncogenic virus roles in lymphomagenesis, stem cell transplantation immunobiology, cancer epidemiology, and plasma cell myeloma translational research. He integrates genomic, proteomic, and spatial biology approaches to identify disease biomarkers and improve classification systems.

Dr. Naresh mentors PhD, MSc, MRes, and medical students while leading the Naresh Lab at Fred Hutch. His funded research includes the Catchment Area Pilot Award studying lymphoma incidence disparities across Washington State counties. He serves on international committees including the WHO Haematolymphoid Tumours Editorial Board (authoring 30+ disease entities), Singapore SYMPHONY study Scientific Advisory Board, and Royal College of Pathologists International Advisory Committee. His lab develops digital pathology archives and investigates graft-versus-host disease biomarkers.
