John N. Colgan, MD, DCH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Additionally, he serves as an Attending Physician in the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Dr. Colgan's research is centered on leukemia biology, functional genomics in leukemia, precision-guided therapies, and umbilical cord blood transplantation. His clinical expertise lies in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for lymphoma and high-risk leukemias, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia.
Dr. Colgan is board-certified in medical oncology by the Royal Australian College of Physicians (2024). He is involved in research supported by significant grants, including a $7M award from the Kuni Foundation to advance adult oncology research (as reported in June 2025).
He is an active member of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Seattle Children's Hospital and the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch, where he contributes to cutting-edge research in stem cell transplantation and leukemia therapeutics.
