Kevin Deyna-Jones is a Lecturer in Counselling Psychology at the School of Psychology and Sport Science, Bangor University. He teaches on the MSc Counselling and BSc Psychology with Counselling programmes and serves as a Personal Professional Development (PPD) Tutor, emphasizing reflective practice for future therapists. Concurrently, he works as an NHS Counsellor for the Primary Care Mental Health Service in North Wales, supporting clients with diverse mental health challenges. His academic and clinical practice integrates Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness, with research interests in mental health literacy, mindsets, sleep hygiene, positive psychology, pedagogy, and student engagement.
